Mrs. Lorrie March

What an absolute blessing it is to be part of the St. John family! I am so excited to be given the opportunity to teach the first grade class here. Over the past few years, I can truly see God’s hand in my life preparing me for this position.

I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I married my husband, John, in 2002. We started our married life in Canada, and added two little girls to our family – Emilee and Cailyn. In 2011 God clearly directed my family to move to Albany, NY from the Niagara Falls area in Canada.  I enjoyed teaching at Our Savior’s Lutheran School, where John was the principal. During that time, we added a little boy to our family, Jeremiah. He was born 7.5 weeks premature, endured a life-saving surgery on day 2, and had another surgery before he was released from the NICU. He was also given a birth diagnosis of Trisomy 21. Although we were surprised with this diagnosis, we knew that God doesn’t make mistakes, and that He had great plans for JJ!

Mission Statement

I am a believer in Jesus Christ and a firm advocate in Christian Education, specifically Lutheran education.  I have dedicated my teaching career to work in various Christian and Lutheran Schools.  I strive to make Christ the center of my classroom and my lessons at all times.  It is my desire to show the students the truth of God’s Word as we explore all the subjects each day.
