5th Grade

The 5th and 6th Grade schedule is similar to that of a junior high or high school. The students go to classes like: Religion, Math, Spanish (or Physical Education), Reading and Language Arts, Science, Computer (or Art), Music, Choir (or Current Events), and Study Hall. In 5th Grade, the students also have the option to join band, where they participate with other schools to form the Defiance Middle School Band. Toward the end of every year, a Science Fair or School Musical occurs. The school rotates between the two every year. In the 2008-2009 school year we will be participating in the Science Fair. This year 5th grade joined 6th grade for outdoor education at Camp Palmer. It was a fun learning experience. Many new memories were created. |
