| Together With Jesus is a Christian program developed specifically for two year olds and their parents. The program is designed to help parents share their faith with the young children in their care. It offers parents and children the opportunity to learn together of God's Love for all people through the life, death, and resurrection of His only son, Jesus. Originally designed as a Sunday School program, the Together With Jesus preschool class meets on Friday mornings. Each session is two hours in length. Parents (or another significant adult) and their two year olds attend together. They participate in age-appropriate learning experiences. Together they sing songs, hear Bible stories, enjoy snacks, and worship God. A staff teacher prepares and presents the activities to the families. The teacher sets up the various learning experiences and guides families in their exploration of the materials. The Parent Sheets and Parenting Time portion of the sessions provide parents with support and guidance. The Together With Jesus two year old program helps young children and their parents feel welcome and comfortable in a Christian preschool setting. Two year olds develop a positive anticipatory attitude toward school! More importantly, parents and children form friendships with one another, they become a support group for each other. |
