Working out details.

Our second grade classroom is first and foremost a place where the love of God is shared, our faith is strengthened, and we learn God's plan for our salvation. Our faith in Jesus directs our relationships with others. We learn how God wants us to live and how he wants us to treat others.

We study many Bible stories from creation in the Old Testament to the missionary Journeys of Paul in the New Testament and memorize two Bible stories each week.
The primary focus of our academic time in second grade is spent on studying reading, math, and writing. We review what has been introduced in first grade and expand upon it. The students are expected to be more responsible for themselves and responsible for their work. The students are taught in whole group and small group settings.

Here are some of our academic high points and enjoyable learning activities.
